There are thousands of properties that become seized due to bankruptcy, repossessed by banks, federal, state and private organizations. The properties are then auctioned at a fraction of their actual market value a great way of saving.

Buying a property at Auction

1. Using a web search engine search the internet for specialist property sites. Most well established auctioneers will have on line presence.

2. Make sure you have the money in place beforehand. You are unlikely to be able to get an agreement for a mortgage on an auctioned property. ( you could use a loan to buy the property and then take out a mortgage to pay off the lone)

4. When looking at the properties for auction, note the reserve price of the properties that interests you. This is the lowest amount that the property will be sold for.

6. Before the auction make a plan of the properties or property that you intend on bidding on, decide on the highest sum of money you are willing on paying for the property. During bidding wars it is easy to get carried away.

8. When the gravel hits, if you bid the highest you are deemed to have made a legally binding contract.

9. Be alert about what homeowners' association insurance cover on your property and responsibility for roofs, common areas and landscaping.
